Roaring expands into Norway via Data Nest
The insights firm is a new partner on Data Nest from Tietoevry Industry.

Roaring delivers data and data-driven solutions for AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer) and risk assessment. In Sweden the company has established itself as a solid insights business with clients such as SEB, Nordnet and DNB. Now they want to repeat that success in Norway.
Expansion into the Norwegian market, however, brings challenges. Although many organisations have begun to recognise the importance of good data and data structure, processes are often long and complicated. In addition, few decision-makers are familiar with Roaring today.
– As a new player in Norway, we have to be visible where customers are already looking for data, explains Per Martín, Chief Revenue Officer at Roaring.
Data Nest as a door-opener
An important piece of Roaring’s growth strategy is therefore Data Nest from Tietoevry Industry. The platform acts both as a data catalogue and a marketplace, where organisations can find, share, develop and sell data products.
– Tietoevry is our strategic superpartner on the road to becoming an important Nordic player, says Martín.
Data Nest meets several of Roaring’s needs at once. The data catalogue makes it easy for potential customers to find and understand the data Roaring sells, while the seal of quality from Tietoevry makes it safer to trust that quality. The marketplace creates a secure arena for collaboration with customers and partners.
Roaring’s main motivation for joining Data Nest is to be discovered by new customers who buy and use their products. But the company also sees additional opportunities on the platform.
– It could definitely become relevant to buy data from other providers in Data Nest so we can further develop and improve our own products, Martín explains

AI agents on the way
Roaring started as a data company, but now sees the future in intelligent use of data. Generative AI has completely changed the rules of the game.
– To be unique in the data world, you have to accept that no one is unique anymore. Anyone can get hold of data. What makes us relevant and competitive is how good we are at refining that data, explains Martín.
This insight has led to Roaring’s next big push – ready-made “agents” that can work around the clock for customers. The company sits on enormous amounts of historical data that they use to train AI models.
– We will have a palette of smart agents for different niches. Imagine a county agent for the public sector that can analyse everything from population data to economic trends, or a bank agent that can perform real-time risk assessments, says Martín.
These AI agents will also be sold through Data Nest, and Roaring hopes to have the first ones ready in a couple of months.
– The aim is that our customers can free up much of the time spent on routine tasks for value creation, he adds.
Scaling across the Nordics
For Roaring, Data Nest is therefore about more than just a showcase for the Norwegian market.
– We have ambitions to become a significant player across the Nordics, and see Tietoevry’s strong position as a catalyst for growth, says Martín.
– Data Nest gives us the opportunity to be where the customers are, while also gaining access to data and partners we would not have found as easily on our own, he concludes.

The ecosystem effect
Tommi Larsen is responsible for Data Nest at Tietoevry Industry. He explains that Roaring’s investment in Data Nest creates value beyond the individual partner.
– When established players like Roaring bring their customers onto the platform, activity increases for everyone. This creates a living data ecosystem where ever more people can find relevant partners, explore complementary data services and discover new customers they did not have access to before, he says.
