PPS OnLine
The PPS model is packaged in the PPS OnLine web application. Here you will find all the support you need from the PPS model. Based on your role or the activity you are facing, choose an appropriate entry point in PPS OnLine and easily get the right support when needed.
‘PPS OnLine is a help in everyday life, an application instead of a book. PPS OnLine contains so much support, not just templates - it's not the templates you learn from. It helps me when I talk to others, such as steering group members - ‘this is how it is described in PPS’. There is so much leadership support on how we should work together - described in a simple way’ Anneli Arvidsson, Region West Norrland

The PPS model supports these areas and roles:
Portfolio - A portfolio consists of a number of programmes and projects and associated business change activities within an organisation, which need to be planned and managed to ensure maximum contribution to the strategic objectives of the operations.
Programme - Programme management focuses on coordinating multiple projects and associated business change activities to achieve an expected benefit. The benefit owner defines the expected benefit, which is set by the portfolio management.
Benefit owner and project owner - The benefit owner focuses on achieving business change and realising the expected benefits. The project owner role focuses on creating the conditions for the project so that it contributes to the benefit owner's needs and is realistic to implement. Necessary business changes in operations are planned and
Project steering group - The project steering group focuses on ensuring that the project contributes to the expected benefit. This means actively supporting the project management, removing obstacles, and being the link between the project and operations. The steering group is responsible for all overall decisions during the project.
Business Change management - Projects enable business change and a new future state in the operations. The benefit owner is ultimately responsible for organising and leading the business change, but this is often a major task that must be delegated.
Project management - Project management focuses on what is to be done within the project, and when it is to be done. The work involves leading and managing in a way that ensures that the project and its result contributes so that the benefit owner can achieve its expected benefit. Leadership is characterised by cooperation, efficiency and learning.
Agile work - PPS is a general model with agile foundations. The basic ideas and approaches of PPS and agile methods are very compatible. For both agile and PPS, the business benefit is most important.
Leadership - With the right leadership in project work, we get effective teams with motivated employees. PPS provides practical support in the form of skills for managing people and teams in a project.
Project members - Project members take responsibility for producing results within the project objectives. It is the project management team that leads and administers the work of producing the project result.
Assignment management - Management of a defined task of a certain scope to produce an agreed result at a specified time and cost. The assignment can be managed more simply than a project. The assignment can be part of a project.
